SOWING POST-CAPITALIST SEEDS: 12 week pod

Providing a grounded space to confront and bear witness to the world as it is—while tending to the futures we long to see take root.

there is still time, but the time is now.

Our future depends on our ability to move beyond a state of dispair.

For changemakers; people who care deeply about the world, witnessing multiple crises and crumbling systems takes a toll. Under this pressure, we often turn that weight on each other–becoming critical, judgemental and impatient–because we feel the urgency of now.

Now though, more than ever, we need to practice patience–with ourselves and each other, and with particular regard for those who might feel less safe with the changing political climate.

Having felt the sharp pressure of this moment, I’ve shaped this space to hold presence, patience, probing and possibility.

This work invites us into a journey–one that explores the interconnected issues we face, and the many ways we can begin to sow seeds for future generations. It offers a shift: from overwhelm, from trying to confront all-of-the-things, to focusing on the thread that connects them–and discovering how we might each play a part in carefully undoing the tapestry.

Within a warm cohort, we’ll ask brave questions–reflecting on our values, skills and assets as potential contributions to brighter futures.

These 12 week’s will support you to:

Understand the roots and history of capitalism

Explore the origins and mechanics of capitalism, colonialism, and exploitation. Uncover how these systems shape our lives and worldviews—and how we might begin to unlearn them.

Reflect on your positionality, power, and interdependence. Locate yourself within personal, social, and ecological systems to understand the unique role you play in transformation.

From this space, will explore more deeply the magic we might create together.

Cultivate everyday practices rooted in care, reciprocity, and justice. From growing herbs on your windowsill to co-stewarding a community allotment, you’ll explore how food, land, and mutual care can become tools for transformation. Inspired by real-world examples — like Todmorden, where residents turned their town into a communal food garden — you’ll begin to seed anti-capitalist practices in your own spaces.

Honor the full spectrum of emotions that arise in post-capitalist work. Develop grounding rituals and seasonal rhythms to support healing, joy, and sustainability.

Engage in a vibrant learning space with others committed to change. Share insights, struggles, and resources as you build new worlds together—one seed at a time.

How I define post-capitalist futures:

A space and time where profit is no longer prioritised over people and the planet. Where burnout is no longer endemic, exploitation is no longer overlooked and competition is no longer the norm. Instead, we are thriving in harmony with nature and each other. And here’s the thing; this is a truly possible future if we actively work towards it.

Hello, I'm Anuradha

For a little more insight into the heartbeat of this work,
I invite you to watch this short video.

Theory matters. But so does practice.

Connecting the dots is crucial.

This work draws on post-capitalism studies, decolonial thought and accessibility. While it’s important to dissect issues to understand their mechanism, it’s important to identify their connected roots. This is what makes this programme so beneficial. Overwhelm is paralysing. This helps to simplify the work and give us somewhere to start. Something managable. Something impactful.

Co-creation is key.

Understanding the interconnectedness of the global crisis we face, grounds us in enough theory to move from a place of stability. This holistic grounding also enables us to identify which aspect(s) we’re best place to address – a crucial element of co-creation. This is about moving toward a shared vision, but via multiple pathways, approaches and practices. In community with your pod, you’ll be invited to begin or deepen this experimental practice.

Remember; what you do still matters.

I imagine that you sense a whisper that something more is needed for this movement. But it can feel like there are too many possible places to start and not enough needle-moving even once we’ve begun. This is by design. To leave us feel overwhelmed. But we needn’t stay in this space.

It’s likely that you’ve already begun making small changes, shifts in where you shop, how you consume, perhaps a deeper involvement with your community or experimenting with forms of mutual aid. You can use this same momentum to carve out new tracks pathways of possibility.

Is now the right time?

Here’s some additional insight that might help you reflect on whether or not this is the right time for you:

I created this space specifically for folks who’re feeling deeply overwhelmed by the state of affairs. For those who’re reluctantly running on autopilot or simply showing up out of obligation and expectation. For folks who see the wheels falling off of the capitalist machine, but feel like their current actions aren’t enough at this time.

In short, you needn’t feel like you “have it together” before you join this space.

You needn’t come with prior knowledge, experience or ideas for change. This space is designed to meet each person where they are. In fact, this mix is part of the magic.

One of the things I most love to witness is the beautiful connections that form between participants and even between pods. I’ve found that an environment designed to find solutions and assume positive intent amongst each other is uniquely wholesome. I hope you discover this too.

These pods are for artists, entrepreneurs, parents, founders, writers, community organisers (and more) who are keen to move beyond an intellectual understanding of anti-capitalism and toward experiential practice.

So here’s a question:
How might you benefit from a space designed not just for learning and visioning but real community building?

Meet your guide.

My work’s thread could be described as undoing the impact of the inherent indoctrination from capitalism and colonialism on who we are and how we do our work in the world. It sits at the intersection of theory, education/indoctrination, and embodiment.

I once heard a beautiful analogy of what’s it like to do our work: we are creating a rich tapestry. However, we’re often looking at a slightly convoluted pattern that’s in reverse, because we’re working on the back. Doing the work sometimes means getting stuck in the details and we only see the completed vision as we step back and take a breather.

My work was shaped by living in two worlds, that of a primarily white community in Arizona and preserving Indian culture through the arts and spiritual practice. As an adventurer and curious individual (raised by computer scientists) I have an insatiable desire to see how things work and finding our inherent interconnectedness to the cosmos, to the planet, and to life.

FAQ

I’ve compiled a list of the most commonly asked questions about the Foundation course. If you need to ask something else, send us a note here.

Anyone. Since September 2021, we welcome all genders for all of our classes. For clarity, this course is not basic anti-racism or similar class. We expect a basic degree of understanding about anti-oppressive work. This is a brave space, it’s ok to make mistakes AND we want to treat people with care and respect.

No worries. We accept a verbal application or can provide other arrangements. Book directly into Anuradha’s calendar here.

No worries. We have done our best to make the live sessions as accessible across many time zones. Each week you will have a list of the resources, topics discussed, and practices. In addition, we record the calls and make them available within 48 hours along with the transcript. We do ask everyone to participate in some way.

  • We offer several tiers in our sliding scale for the class with payment plans to spread the cost with a payment plan. Unlike many of our peers, we do not add any extra charges for offering a payment plan.
  • We also will offer at least one BIPOC scholarship each cohort.
  • Outside of those options, if you would like to propose an alternate payment plan send it to us here or schedule time directly with Anuradha.

That is completely fine. The materials are optional. We do our best to summarize the salient points of the readings in during class and we are continuously looking to add more variety of resources that are beyond readings (ie, audios, graphics, videos, etc.) We have also added 3 integration weeks where no new materials are added, so there is time to integrate and catch up.

You will also have access to the recordings and a list of the resources for future perusal after the course is completed.

That’s fantastic. Several businesses/teams have taken the course. For those taking this training as part of a professional development training or in a business capacity. We ask that you pay at the Ally or VIP rate tiers. We encourage you to bring a team member and join us together.

We are happy to provide a certificate of completion.

VIP Tier: £2000 (you are taking in a professional capacity/want more in-depth support)
includes 3 x 60 minute private sessions with Anuradha & VIP Hamper)
Ally Tier: £1400 (you have access to generational wealth/taking in a profession capacity)
Standard Tier: £1000 (you are employed/access to a level of disposable income)
Scholarship Tier: £600 (you are from marginalised community/ lack disposable income)

We have a few payment options and a sliding scale for equitable pricing. We trust you to select the payment plan that works for you. We have a higher tier for businesses or organizations; we recommend you use the Ally or VIP Tiers.

The Kowtha Constellation is based in the UK and hence our main currency is the pound sterling. You can choose to pay via direct bank transfer or Wise (formerly TransferWise) if those solutions work better for you or your organization. Let us know if you need these details.

If you let us know, we can work with you. If you suddenly stop your payments without letting us know, we will remove you from the course until you are current again. This includes receiving access to the resources and recordings.

For those who take the course as an individual, we offer a refund within 14-days of signing up, in accordance to distance selling regulations. After 14 days for individuals or any for businesses, we do not give refunds, or will do so at our own discretion. You’ll have access to your payment plan details via ThriveCart and have complete control of your payments. As stated above, if you cancel any further payments, you will be removed from the course.

Yes, you’re more than welcome to do this! We have had several business partners take our foundation training together and a company with several employees also joined our last cohort. They have had some pretty amazing shifts in the ways they work since the course. Contact us for a organizational pricing.

depends on your grounding, your priorities, and the ways you implement what we speak about. Most people share that it changes their view of capitalism and living/operating in. We’ve had business owners say it: saved their working relationship, changed their money and pricing ethic, shifted the projects the focused on to bring more ease into their work. Here’s a look at what people are saying about our foundation class.

Let us know. We help you out. You will need internet access and a digital device that connects you to the internet. For Zoom you can download the app and log in with the details we provide.

It’s going to vary from person to person, but a good estimate is 1-3 hours of time beyond the 90 minute calls. Of course, you are welcome to do what works best for you. And as I shared above, we make every effort to highlight the salient points of the texts during the class.
